Strategic
Vision And Supporting Recommendations The participants mapped the current Arab national situation and the strategic balance in the Arab-Israeli conflict. They addressed the risks of continuous imbalances between both sides, especially in the absence of a unified Arabic strategic vision. Based on all possible scenarios for the conflict, the conferees recommended the following recommendations: - 1. The conference called on the governments, parties, organizations and involved individuals in the decision making process to use what has been drawn up in the conference to devise new plans and new political visions for an Arabic Islamic project that enhances the resistance to the Zionist project and its tools. 2. The conference urged the Middle East Studies Center to publish the strategic vision of the scenarios of the Arab-Israeli conflict and distribute it to as many official departments and organizations of the Arab and Islamic worlds as possible to form a unified vision and designing the required programs to deal with its ramifications. 3. The conference recommends all Arab parties which participated in the reconciliation and normalization with Israel to re-evaluate their positions due to theirs hugely harmful impacts on the Palestinian cause and the direction of the Arab-Israeli conflict in favour of the Zionist Project. 4. The conference called for mobilizing Arab capabilities to face the immanent Zionist danger and put an end to the inner disputes, including sensationalizing of the conflict politically or in the media. It also called for eradicating and containment of terrorism and violence against civilians or innocent people to achieve comprehensive political reform and build a free and democratic society. 5. The conference affirmed the importance of dealing with the intellectual and social deviations leading to local terrorism and violence in view of an Arab strategic perspective. It called for achieving national unity and implementation of social and intellectual solutions for terrorism and containing the consequences of security solutions for these phenomena. 6. The conference emphasized the importance of Islamic and Arab support for the Palestinian people and its Intifada, and legitimized its resistance against Israeli occupation and called to decrease the Palestinian suffering until achieving the liberation and return of refugees and all its lawful rights. 7. The conference emphasized the importance of developing Arab military capabilities to achieve strategic balance with the Israeli’s capabilities. 8. The conference recommended the formation of a unified Arab strategy to face the challenges to its national Arab security. It also emphasized the refusal of the occupation or any threats against the Arab countries serving the Zionist project. 9. The conference refused the dilemma created by the United States and Israel policies when they mixed legitimate resistance with terrorism. The conference supports the legitimacy of resistance against occupation by all means, and condemns in discernment terrorist acts against innocent people and civilians. It calls for Arab intellectuals and politicians to adopt this view and defend it and cause the international organizations to adopt it. 10. The conference called on governments, and social organizations in the Arab world to develop an Arab role in the international politics to achieve an effective participation in shaping the future of the region and the world. 11. The conference recommended enhancing the dialogue between the Arab countries and their neighbours in Asia, Africa, and Europe to maximize their joint interests and support the Arab position in the Arab-Israeli conflict. 12. The conference affirmed the importance of the Palestinian people’s unity. It also warned against the risks of the internal disputes which might lead to diverting its powers against the occupation. 13. The conference called for the building of confidence within the Arab and Palestinian youths to bear their responsibility toward the Arab and Palestinian causes. 14. The conference emphasized the importance of the role of the Arab League as a unifying identity and cradle for their policies, in view of many Middle East projects. It also emphasized the importance of implementation of the decisions from the Arab League and re-establishing the Israeli boycott offices in the Arab world. The conference warned against the risks of continuous American domination on international organizations and their use to impose sanctions on the Arab countries or interfere in their internal affairs. The conference called for reforming the United Nations to give Arabs their influential role and respect to the interests of the countries in the region and the World. It also recommended the support of and active participation in the anti-globalization international movements which resist the United States policies and the Israeli practices in Palestine. |
